Online Learning with a Heart

“In times of stress, the best thing we can do for each other is to listen with our ears and our hearts and to be assured that our questions are just as important as our answers.”

Fred Rogers, The World According to Mister Rogers: Important Things to Remember

How has your year gone? Have you hit moments where you needed help with pacing, teaching, grading, or coming up with material for your student? Has it been a difficult year for your family or your student?

We know it’s hard to stay on top of it all! Especially if you have multiple students.

Opportunities for Genuine Organic Learning

To help with these challenges, we offer a selection of history, writing, and science online courses geared for grades 3-7, designed to take the pressure off parents. All of our instructors know about the work involved with homeschooling as they have personally homeschooled their children.

In addition to providing all the content for each class session, our instructors post new work, reading assignments, review student work, and give feedback. Our courses are a mix of project-based learning and weekly work. Spring History Showcase

One example of how much we love projects and showcasing the creative work our students complete is we hosted a History Showcase this month — opening up all our history classes, hearing about what student’s are learning. It is this kind of integrated learning that excites us! It was amazing to see such original and authentic student work.

Education in a Post-Covid Era

In addition, we know today’s families are going through so much. These last 2 years have forced many educational changes on families. Many new homeschoolers are trying their hand at schooling at home, but may be overwhelmed. Also, we know families are adapting to factors like changes in jobs, location, economic situation, dealing with children in crisis, and a host of other challenges. Our teachers are here to support families, encourage students to engage with the material, doing so in a manner that extends grace and understanding. More than just there to grade assignments, we value our relationship with each student and family.

We are here for you!

Whether you are looking for classes to support learning at home, opportunities for authentic engagement that allow your student to truly interact with the course subject material, or looking for understanding and compassion about the stressors your family is facing, explore our classes!
